Painful Mirage
You came in like a shooting star during noon
Nothing could stop the law of attraction
The strength of your presence lowered the walls
Slowly I embraced the blessing of a friend
Every step I risked my heart for pain
Every breath was life I instilled
The time I gave was a gift I could never return
I fell asleep with the thought of companionship
Only to arise alone with my chest dripping blood
How does love speak so loud and still feel the silence?
My vision has to be telling me a lie
Because here you are with invisible hands
My chest aches from the separation that the knife revealed
My expression captures your emotions
I reach out and my hands held hands with air
You slowly began to fade
My heart still connected to the blade
Love was a mirage but the pain was real
I guess my love was the cost of accepting an eternal pain
