Pain Pain Go Away

Why do you haunt me every night?
I feel you in me and it's just not right!
My neck is stiff and my toes twist,
My fingers don't work, I can't make a fist.
My back hurts and my legs both cramp,
Why is my body where you choose to camp?
I wake each day from my restless night
Knowing once again I must resume this fight!

Such a moving piece told so well Virginia, glad it's not personal but sorry your cousin is feeling it hard but hope she finds relief soon. Blessings, Gordon

thankyou for your comment. Sadly my cousin passed a few years ago. I think of her so often especially when I've got a minor pain or headache. She would never complain though her body was twisted from years of pain. thankyou again.

It is what I was hoping for ( I want my poems to felt, one way or another) BUT I am sorry you apparently are in pain physically or mentally. For that I am sorry to hear. Take care please.

A very moving poem for your cousin. Pain can be so strange in that it inflicts both the one who suffers and those who see the results. John

This feels like arthritis to me. I have it in both ankles, and it is awful. "Why is my body where you choose to camp?"

Hope your cousin is feeling better, Virginia, I would offer turmeric & ginger root (actual roots!) raw aloe vera plant gel, & aronia berry curries! if you can get it down (I love it!) pain & inflamations greatly reduced!

Thankyou but my cousin has passed several years ago...but I loved her dearly and hated seeing her suffer. But this recipe you've shared shoulds great and both my husband and I are into healthy natural meds. We will try it when we "start hurting...Thanks so much.

Pain is simply your brain alerting you to the fact that there is a glitch in your system that needs fixing, and your doctor has spent years studying how to make the most profit from your pain, so be happy your pain is contributing to prosperity? Aloha! Rico

I do appreciate the fact that so many feel I am in pain. I am glad my poem made others feel for me, but happily it is not my pain. (it actually came to me while being in the company of a very sick cousin) Thankyou for your comment

Oh, this doesn't sound fun. I'm so sorry you are in pain, but glad to know you remain in the battle, don't give up. You wrote this very well, through your suffering. I love the rhyme and meter. I don't love that you are in pain. I will pray for you <3

I am truly touched by your concern. I wanted people to feel it but honestly, it's not me. I had a dear cousin who suffered so...so much that I could feel her pain. Now I have written it. But you could still pray for me...I need all the help I can get here. Thankyou again.
