Pain In My Pen
I put my pain into my pen
so as not to drown in the
morass of melancholy
Bleeding onto blank pages
My lifeblood in every lyric
my essence
in each erudite
piece of prose
My song those pages
will sing long after
I have been silenced
by the tyranny of time
