Pain and Rain

Pain and Rain

On a wet, spring day
Branches drip loneliness.
Sunbeams stream gentleness
Pain and rain stain the soul.
Distance separates.
Ablutions wash winter's grime.
Absolution is near.

I have a number started but the words don't seem to be flowing. Looking forward to Jan-Feb when we'll be on the CA coast. The ocean is so soothing.
