Notes About The Poem

this was an awful night that I struggled through going many times from zero to 9 or 10 and back to zero I would not wish such pain for any one but with our Lords help I made it through

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Pain

One lies there nice and relaxed
then like being stabbed viciously
Pain flashes up your leg time again
digging in deep then even deeper.
touching as it hides and then 
comes the needle its popped into
your mouth you swallow blessed relief
as gradually the pain fades to zero
and you know deep inside its only hiding
The nerves take time to recover
to get back to normal but
you know it will take at least 
another day to recover
For now all is at peace
what a joy blessed relief
there's nothing like it
