Pails

Shells
waiting
on the shore
for children's hands
pails overflowing with summer treasures

Summertime fades in September's last hour
memories gained
shells in pails
wait for
June

While reading this, I could just hear Jerry Keller singing "Here Comes Summer". Good example of a tetractys.

Good thing we live in FL. Come to think of it, I have filled up pail shells with snail shells. The best part about it, we can do it in February. The rest of the soupers are going to be jealous if we keep this up!
