do you ever
wish
that there was
someone
that knew you

that there was
someone who knew
the pain
behind the
smile
the depression
behind
the happy

the people
who make
assumptions
are the people
that you can’t
trust

it hurts more
when someone
gets to know you
but doesn’t realize
the small hints
that you’re
not okay
that your hurting
on the inside
or that you
hide your feelings
so that the others
think you are someone else
other than a depressed
little nothing
who spills all their
feeling to the ones that
they feel comfortable with
and onto a page

it gets to the point
where the page
is the only thing
that helps numb
the pain

the best feeling is when
the page listens
it tells you
that its
going to be okay
that it is there
when you need it
the privacy
of your feelings
kept safe
from the rest of
the world

it tells you that
that weight
on your shoulders
can be lifted off
and instead
be put
onto the page
for you
to feel better
and for
you
to feel
relief
