Pacific Sunset
Daylight begins to fade -- the sun has moved west for its daily descent,
Reflections of amber brightly shine as the sun's voyage begins.
Sunset reflects the beauty in nature’s eyes,
Vibrant colors intensify into deeper more brilliant shades.
Lights exploding into vibrating hues of rich, glowing orange and reds,
Fading softly to many shades of pink.
Reflection of colors mirrored on the water's crest,
Blending into the sky, it begins fading to darkness.
Breathtaking and exuberant causing your heart to race,
Watching the ocean swallow the sun whole,
Til there is nothing but darkness to embrace.
The beauty seen watching the sun disappear,
Sitting on the seashore gazing in amazement,
Expecting to hear a sizzle.
As its glow decimates before your eyes,
This ball of fire extinguished by the ocean's water.
Final view of this sunset resembling colors on its surface of golden glory.
Mystic view of the sun slowly vanishing out of sight.
Ocean is calm, ripples of light exposing its crest.
End of daylight allowing luminance of the stars,
Light our way to a new day.
Thoughts move from the sunset to the constellation above us,
Glittering and sparkling -- guide us through the night, bringing joy of other lights.
