Notes About The Poem
For the Silent Letters and Oxymorons Poetry Contest sponsored by Natasha L Scragg

Oxymorons

A desert's rain
like a thoughtless brain
brings soothing pain
that's lavishly plain.

This sad clown
wears a peasant's crown
while sitting down
so that he won't drown.

Angela, your poem cleverly uses paradoxes to form strange gaps and depth. Blending contradictions to enhance the imagery and make it engaging and thought-provoking.
