Owl tree Dressed in American apparel Cross your heart For the butterfly national anthem They melt in the static Like snowflakes And stars slowly blink out A physical embodiment of dreams But I'm chasing cats Clawing the owl tree The lake here was shallow But got deeper Due to melting snowflakes Given time The owl tree will fall
