Overwhelmed Senses:

Overwhelmed senses brought me to my knees, A forgotten tune that I knew no more, The pipes were calling, blowing in the breeze, Gaining volume, my ears full of their roar. My thoughts drift away on a velvet cloud, Leaving body behind, an empty shell, Wrapped so tightly, this invisible shroud, Music in the background casting its spell. My spirit was soaring so high and free, Like the kind of feeling you can't explain, 'Twas the ether or just pure ecstasy? But there are no words so I must reframe. A smile grew on my face, that I can tell, And if you do the same, I wish you well. (Ten syllables per line)

A very uplifting and happy feeling sonnet my friend and so well written. You are the kind of these poetic forms I believe and if not, you should be next inline for the throne.

: ) Rick. In the space between heart beats, does history call to us? Maybe, the collective unconscious pulls us away; not necessarily a bad thing.

To me, the 'collective unconscious' is the ocean and we are aboard a ship getting battered around by its waves! And history is what pumps our hearts! A no, not a bad thing! /|\
