Overcoming Rejection Pain
"All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." John 6:37 of the King James Bible
Oppressive rejection and its attacking pain
Vanquished victoriously by trusting God Who is sovereign
Ever-loving to grant blessed peace and compassion gain
Ready always in helping us overcome affliction stain.
Christ Jesus, our Saviour, suffered grievously from rejection
Oh, He knows the suffering sorrows midst hurtful words and action
Moments of hopelessness He understands as well as our frustration
Indeed, with His experience, He welcomes our cries for restoration
Never rejecting anyone who puts faith in His grace and compassion
Guarding, guiding toward successful and joyous love-filled direction.
Resting in the Lord, we leave our past of bad rejection-sentiment
Earnestly receiving divine pardon’s settlement
Jubilant also to offer forgiveness with glad engagement
Establishing good relationships for goodwill betterment
Caring for each other by God’s gracious endearment
Trying to reach-out fellowmen for life-transforming involvement
Influencing by faith’s impact against skeptic predicament
Optimizing opportunities along service-fulfillment
Nourished with optimistic thoughts, freed from self-guilt’s indictment.
Praising God, relieved from dejection fright
Ardent are we by His miraculous might
Instructed to trust Him, illumined by His light
Not succumbing to temptation of another rejection blight.
Assured by the Scriptures’ nurture
Mercifully touched with the Almighty’s posture
Eternally we have belongingness in God’s family of divine stature
Now and forever secured in His “no-casting-out”* gesture.
