Over Worked Student

trest, my eyes tell me, sleep, says my brain my delusional mind says, "you're going insane" my fingers drag from key to key my joints ache, shoulders, elbows, knees sleep sleep sleep, my body's dying plea A couple more pages, another hour or two then I will be complete, them I will be through Go grab my teddy and hold it real tight sleep sleep sleep, the long cold night dreaming the dreams, not yet in sight. My head on my pillow and my covers surround me Up to my neck, under my nose, so I can barely see. Closing my eyes, shutting off my ears, Tucking away thoughts, laughter and fears, I will sleep til I awake, when the sun of tommorow nears.
