Outside Influences

The pair couldn’t see beyond the present
Such hope, great expectations
Children, a home, great love

It was what they could not foresee that hurt
She holds their wedding photo
The war took him from her

A poignant write, and one which is just as valid today as in former times. Young men (and women) still die in wars.
