Outpicturing

My camera can't accomplish what my mind can do,
which, even at this distance, is to picture you.
For light that once fell on my eye
stays here and now forever nigh,
since even in the darkest night,
I'm often blessed by your sweet light,
and for a hushed, eternal while,
I’m sweetly graced by your smile.
I hallow the ground, though it isn’t close,
where that splendid Lily constant grows:
sole purpose of my endless song
to know that you grow safe and strong.
And any comfort that you find
is peace and blessing to my mind.
Then, open up to the rising sun
and fold in quiet with the moon,
that I might know you happy are
and see you in a rising star
where you have ever graced the night
and given me most precious light.
