Out the Window
Out the window,
diagonals and horizons
are riding hard between
the transparent.
The bold porch wrapping
a clean bow before the
grated metal fence in
the neighbor's yard.
The aluminum honeycombs
throwing shapes of
discord into the levels.
Green flutters spatter
against the breezes.
Flaunting more a blur
than a shape.
Dark ominous wrinkles
of tall trunks,
wind upward and out of frame.
The stiff softening into
pattering emerald fingers
stretching into the great space.
