Out of Turmoil Comes Change

Folks keep telling me our great society is crumbling
Sincerely concerned for our nation’s well-being,
I’m convinced there is entirely too much grumbling
Much good that is occurring we go without seeing.

Let’s recall that history is rampant with upheaval,
Much good that is occurring we go without seeing
Remember time is a portrait of loss and retrieval.

Much positive change is often labeled malevolent
Remember time is a portrait of loss and retrieval,
Scarcely a decade major change was not prevalent.

Much positive change is often labeled malevolent
What is seen as dastardly may be quite beneficial,
Scarcely a decade major change is not prevalent
Our moaning and groanings are largely superficial.
