Out of Darkness
it had been a wicked year
teasing demanding exhausting
and he searched for the healing power of lightness
disillusioned and yet hopeful
he walks into the sea
spray of waves touches lonely skin
sun burns blisters
tides oscillate
currents show the way
ripples in the sand
project impermanence
it takes time to heal and salve the soul
life teaches patience
at night he sees abundance
as stars sprinkle magic illumination
he inhales and becomes one with the moon
