Notes About The Poem

OUT FOR DELIVERY

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Porch becomes an altar of anticipation~ another box, another small salvation. Who knew joy could arrive so flatly packaged, wrapped in tape and mild neglect? We whisper sweet nothings to the delivery app, tracking miracles like digital wise men. Out for delivery—the sacred hymn of last-minute repentance. Without Prime, we’d be marooned in the land of sold out and backordered, forced to gift IOUs and half-hearted hugs— a truly unholy end to December.
Then again, there are the porch pirates, looking to undo a good thing, as the rotten people in the world multiply exponentially, even at Christmas time. Pity.
I agree...they seem to crawl out from the cracks like roaches at Christmas.
I enjoyed reading your fun and true write. Fun Picture... I still like going to the stores to shop. I know some that have not shopped yet. Even Amazon needs time for delivery. Have a fun day writing away............
