Our Toll
You will pay
for trying to hide
The darkness that concealed you
has more secrets that it does not share
The strength it had to hide you
is used in so many ways
The real fears you have are sneaking up unseen
Because the darkness works both ways
You may not be seen but
your pain and fear will also be invisible
I know because i can feel you
You are standing so close,
I can feel you tremble
I cant see your troubles nor the toll they have on you
for we are hidden in the darkness
Though i can feel the scares and your racing heart
because our ability to feel is not effected
So we must learn to feel with our hands and out hearts
because what we see may be diluted or distorted
And, we, as an entirety, have now got to pay!
