Our Time
What's the thing I love to do
Especially when I'm out with you
To walk and run to laugh and smile
Through bluebell wood mile after mile
Stomp through puddles race up hills
Verges strewn with daffodils
Along the rugged coastal path
My rubbish jokes would make you laugh
We'd paddle in the ice cold sea
No-one else just you and me
You'd send a tingle up my spine
Your love would put me on cloud nine
Calm emotions set in place
Every time I'd see your face
We'd sit and gaze at nature's best
Where butterflies had come to rest
A place in time a tranquil day
Normality would drift away
A sun filled meadow rich in grass
Those perfect moments slowly pass
I prayed our days would never end
My beautiful and trusted friend
