Our Thanksgiving

I like it when family and friends gather together at our house,
I like it when you’re so full the buttons pop right off your blouse.

I like it when there is a fire in the hearth that warms me till I sleep,
I like it when the pan for the apple pie is the one that’s extra deep.

I like it when the football game is on and everyone is moved to cheers,
I like it when loved ones are recalled and we are all moved to tears.

I like it when the evening comes and we fill up on a second plate,
I like it when we put on a Christmas movie and decide to stay up late.

I like it when you say that you love me; it’s the reason that I’m living,
I guess that I am truly blessed to say that I truely like our Thanksgiving.

I "dig" Thanksgiving too. However it is not a time to lose weight as my family usually has tremendous meals at that time of year. Happy Thanksgiving Matthew Anish

I truly like this too. It's so important to say thank you to He who has provided all of this for us. That's what Thanksgiving is all about. Giving thanks for all our many blessings. I'm so grateful for all that is mine and I try to say thank you every day. Great stuff here. God Bless, JB
