Our Tea Party

Me and my friend, we had a tea party, She poured a cup, our laughs rang out hearty, Flowers in our hair and frills in our frocks, Red blush on our cheeks and curls in our locks, A big slice of the cake that mom had made, We ate, shared our stories and drank and played, We smiled big smiles, and had fun without rest, On the whole, our tea party was the best.

The poets below are certainly right when they say, "Charming" describing your poem. It was darling. It brought memories back of my best friend & I creating Barbie doll houses made out of empty refrigerator boxes, Kleenex box beds and magazine torn wall paper. I'd love to share your poem with her. Still best friends today and occassionally wonder if there is a tiny bit of Elmer's glue still on her kitchen floor ! I am so glad to have chosen this poem to read.

Jo, this is utterly charming and reflects a simple joy of childhood. Who would not be totally enchanted by your tea party with your mom's cake and an afternoon with your best fried. The best! I wrote a similar poem called Fancy about tea and dress up! Thank you for the lovely memories! Blessings!

Dear Joanna, What a delightful read and I felt inspired to have even more relationships where you can just sit and drink tea / coffee and have a great conversation with someone you care about. Beautiful! - Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel
