Our Sin

The taste of regret
Still lingers on your lips
You thought Id never notice
But I know the look of shame

I sit in the darkness, as you slyly sleep away
Off in your dreamland, you think you got away

The taste of revenge still lingers on my lips
Thought it'd be sweeter
but the stench of betrayal fills the room we are in
I thought I could wound you, the way you did me
The worst is you don't seem to care that its all ending

The taste of the destruction still linger on our lips
Both filled with resentment not giving in an inch

It's difficult to replace the heartache of betrayal with anything less that complete withdrawal. Nice post here. I think you will find several posts on my page that will reflect your feelings... Great Job.... Jake
