Our Secret
I’ve got a little friend
That lives in the corner in our house.
But I daren’t tell mummy
Because my friend’s a mouse.
And I daren’t tell Sarah
Because she’s our cat,
And if she knew about him
She’d only squash him flat.
And I daren’t tell my brother
Because he does nasty things,
When he found out about my last friend
He pulled off all its legs and wings.
And I DAREN’T tell daddy
Because he works for Pest Control.
So It’ll have to be our secret—
Promise you won’t tell a soul.
