Thank you Richard, I have been suffering with migraines this week. I would have loved to leave more contest comments...your poem was very well written, and with Anacreontic verse, the flow is a very important element. You did a great job :)

Thanks for the reply, you're much more informed about legal and constitutional matters than I am. And I understand the title of your three liner: Our Oligarchy. In all my reading of history, I know of no oligarchy that ever improved the lower classes. And I'm sure you'll agree, the Supreme Court has made blunders. The consequences of its action will show one way or another in time. / W

Money talks with a very big mouth! I question, however, your last line that money is free speech. / M

The US Supreme Court, in its 1976 decision in the case Buckley v. Valeo basically concluded that money spent to influence elections is a form of constitutionally protected free speech...but my thoughts are this goes beyond that. In many cases those with the most resources are going to get heard because they can drown out the voices of those with less resources. One could think about it like the difference one raindrop makes in a flood. Thank you Maurice for you thoughts :)
