I have seen some of the news stories on the wildfires, this has your classic evocative touch, am hoping you and yours are safe~

A sad but true poem Maureen. In a twist of your words it made me think of this, "When your heart's on fire / You must realize / Smoke gets in your eye."

And now you made me think that I have to listen to some of The Platters whom I love so much.

There are so many strange events taking place these days that are causing disasters. Wind, Fire, and here I sit, near the middle of hurricane season, watching one go up the west coast. Bizarre. Your Haiku is symbolic, Mo.

Disasters as forecasted. Maybe this could unite humanity? Sadly I doubt it. At the very least tis an incredible time to be a poet, to watch our world burn, and feel it. xomo

Yes I can see it clearly, your message that is, and if anyone can’t, then they best not blame the smoke in their eyes, super one from super Mo, cheers David
