Our Love To Our Queen
For 50 years you have been our shining star
Our advisor, second mother, leader and lastly,
Our monarch of prestige and royalty… Our diva…
And this is “our” testament of who you truly are.
Since I can remember…
It has always been about you and your sisters…
(Tara, Tiffany, Shannon and Trina) of who depended on you
For
I know that we all can agree that…
“Our love is surely one thing
We can surely depend on you
In times of darkness and fear… we go to you;
Because
Through the years… we knew that you’d make us strong”.
Remember this similar line to a certain song?
So
As we serenade you with “Our Love”…the choice of song…
Just know that you are one in a million…
A true matriarch
That embraced and captured the true essence of what it takes of being our queen wearing your crown…creating the stepping stones of being beautiful, powerful and strong.
So as we celebrate this special day…
You marked our hearts and in return… we selected an icon…Natalie Cole to express what we mean.
For
Our love and sisterhood is forever…
And thanks to Natalie, we were able to show
