Our Kids

I notice you like detective stories

He says yes I do
I find the interest of the chase
and the conclusion of the clue
I enjoy the twist and turns
and the turmoil of the hero
and if he get his winnings or-

Shoosh, I tell him
I already got the point
I was just thinking of a name
to give our future little boy

He stares at me and smiles
O ja?
And what does me liking detective stories
have to do with naming our future son?

Cause I would like to get something that you like
and put it into something that you'll love

Well...
as long that it's not sherlock or holmes
I think it'll do just fine

I laugh and told him don't be silly
You know I'm not that smart
I thought it would be nice
If first be it may a boy
First name Case
middle name Irwin
And...we have to do something about your last name

He gives a smirk
and pulls on my shirt
well what about a girl name?

And don't even bother
Mister future father
but her name has already been given

O ja? he says

O ja indeed
Her name will be Jazzlyn middle name Youth
...and your last name I'm sure won't be given...
O another thing Case will be spelled with a K
so his abbreviated name will be K.I.D!

He pummels me down
and I laugh without sound
and says to me:
Whatever name you give them
I'm sure that we'll love our kids!
