Our Friends, the Archangels

Angels as slightly chubby little figures with wings We will miss the majesty of this day The Scripture tells us who this mighty archangels are It was St. Michael who commanded God’s legions of angels And cast Satan out from heaven It was St. Gabriel who brought to Mother Mary the good news The coming of our Savior It was St. Raphael who healed Tobit Delivered his daughter-in-law from a demon These angels do great, holy works in God’s name They also gladly watch over us In the next life We will mingle among them As brothers and sisters Praising God together with one voice How blest we are to call them friends
