Our footprints faded into the sand

Our footprints faded; into the sand
From every step;
that we
had ever taken
Because; they were all blown
away; with the dust in the wind
I just wish; that I wasn’t so blind
Like I was; way back then
And I am sorry; that everything;
had to come; to an abrupt end
Unfortunately; that
was your decision
But; you know something;
if I had it to do all over again
I would put your hand in my hand
And I would ask you to be mine;
like I
had done; when it had first began
