Our Flight

With his kind actions, he took my hand
With unspoken words said “Everything will be ok”
Never in my life did I have such a calming belief
His interest lifted me higher and the views were clear
I was willing to change with the seasons, to do what it takes,
To stay afloat in this peaceful place, carried by such joy
Shared in simplicity, unimagined in this way before
Gratitude soared with me each day, for the time I have
For every sight to be seen by us, to be shared like this
For every inspirational moment, as a bond gets stronger
As loyalty is ignited in me, on this flight together, we see
