Our Dad

Dad steps back into this room. Today is his birthday, soon to be his wedding anniversary. The day before yesterday marked the date of his engagement. Yes, this is Dad, he strolls back, back into my life. Dad does this kind of thing, a father we all love, recall. He's been gone for ten years now. (21 Nov 2023)

Though gone, parents keep visiting us in our memory. When important days of their lives arrive, we definitely will think of them. It is years since my parents died . But rarely a day passes without some thoughts of them....! Your love for your Dad is so evident !

awww....your words made me teary-eyed and sad...reminded me of my own dad's passing, now some 20 years ago. He strolls into my life almost daily with vivid memories. Splendid words that I must fave! Enjoy your Thanksgiving, Sara

Thanks so much, Sara. I did another one for Dad some time ago, which you can find on here somewhere: called it "Our Father", and deals with his funeral and I'm with my siblings.
