Our Baby

The fabric of our world was consumed by You.
With each month our anticipation grew.
Before you were born you kept your mom up.

Held there in my arms you smiled and looked up.
Could there be a baby cuter than You?
Moments became years we watched as you grew.

You became so amazing as you grew
Part of us didn't want you to grow up
Yet we knew we couldn't hold onto you.

In but a blink of an eye, you grew up.

For Craig Cornish's Baby contest
My first attempt at a Trinatina.
Harder than I thought, thanks for the challange Craig.

Richard; What a nice poem about a baby. it is always a blessing when a baby is born, but they grow up too fast. Good luck in the contest....Lucilla

Tresure every moment Casarah, it really does go by quickly. Mary and I are so proud of the young man we have raised.

Congrats on your win. Love the last line. We look at our grown children and think, wasn't it just yesterday we held your hands to help you cross a street safely, and now you are crossing lines of time in leaps and bounds.

That's the most amazing part of it all...how fast children grow up; but if we are there for them, it is great to participate in successive stages of their growth. Congrats on your win, Richard. // paul

It happens so fast, Richard. I wish I had written down more things...memory doesn't hold all that I know I would love to rehearse.

This site is getting so frustrating to work on, every time I try to comment the box keeps jumping all over the place. As you can see my last attempt didn't work. Thanks for commenting and visiting Eileen. Hugs Rick.
