Ottava Rima #4

The television entertains my eyes,
Right before I proceed to go to bed.
The welcoming bed will tell me no lies,
And will put no illusions in my head.
I assume my place as my spirit dies.
There is nothing more that needs to be said.
As silence proceeds to sing me a song,
I simply close my eyes and sing along.
