Ottava Rima #2

The world has been waiting for me to leave,
And behind me the front door waves goodbye.
It is time for me to roll up my sleeves,
And keep playing the role of the good guy,
Moving with others, creating a weave,
While, at the same time, wishing I could fly;
Contemplating my day within my mind,
With eyes wide open and my vision blind.
