Otherworld
There is a world I know, far from our own, where darkness reigns supreme.
Far from mind and far from thought, like something out of a dream.
I traveled there once to find myself, and cast away my pain.
I cleansed my heart and blood stained soul as I stood in the blackest of rain.
I walked along a mid-night beach, where the sun will never rise.
I peered into the darkness and it was there that I saw the eyes.
The eyes of a demon, lost in pain, howling at the top of his voice.
I felt his anger and knew his thoughts, but in this I did not rejoice.
For then I knew who the demon was and it was plain to see.
The demon I saw was just a reflection, the darker side of me.
