Otherwise
Otherwise,
I would have kissed the top of that cloudlet,
Stolen all the refreshing hues of the pasture, or,
Set up a nocturnal sojourn with my soul-mate
Otherwise,
All the sky would have showered a welcome rain
To douse the flames of all shady relations I abhor
And enclosed you to the sweetest embrace of pain
Otherwise,
The withered face of toil and grudge of our world
Would have washed itself in a dewy nectar
And radiated itself through the shiniest glow of a surreal sword
If you hadn’t swept away the oozing roses of the silent cry of my dilapidated soul
