Other Worlds

I opened my eyes
to the next world,
finding it foreign
A twist to the curl

The sky was pink
as I had dreamed,
but everything wasn’t
as it might seem

The grass was white
and waving fast,
trees were orange
and trunks are vast

The sun was purple
and flames flew off,
I could see them clearly
but some may scoff

A group of people
all colored the same,
rainbows of skin
with nothing to shame

Singing with voices
the angels adore,
as they hang over clouds
in their need to hear more

And off to the right
I see the moons,
forty of them
eclipsed to zoom

I close my eyes
overwhelmed indeed,
waiting for angels
to sing the next lead
