Fallen heroes come in various packages (drug cheaters, etc); Pistorius let many people down; we're left with a feeling of betrayal. May he find peace within himself. Hugs // paul

Jan, I don't know that this kind of poem has to necessarily be funny. I really like this one!! IS he the one that killed the girl in South Africa or something? I know a handicapped athelete did that in Africa somewhere. Or am I mixed up on something?

What an sad story you framed with your excellent Clerihew, Jan. Such a shame, someone having achieved so much despite such disability and ending up like this. As you said below..."hero to zero." You crafted this so well. Hugs, Sandra

It's not up to me to judge, but if the media are correct. he should be locked up for lihe. If I had done such a thing to someone I cared for. I'd want to die, not fight my innocence. no one told him yo pull the trigger, the fact is, he did. miss you hope your ok. best wishes Pete,

I wanted to do the clerihew poem but not for the contest Peter - more as a fallen hero - from what I have read recently he is due to be released from prison in August and wants to work with children - not exactly the best role model! hugs jan xx
