Oscar De La Hoya Blues

It is way too late to discover
that you can no longer deliver
and after the long, hard years
what remains is wear and tear.

Ali was still the greatest. Philadelphia has a sports hero "ROCKY" and the damn guy is fiction. He's the only old boxer (he was aging in 1976) who still fights today. Of course, he doesn't fight for money, it would interfere with his medicare. Have a great day, Fred. Vince.

I used to watch boxing with my dad, years ago. Ive followed Oscar..he was "the man" in his youth. I hate to see older fellows unable to give it up. Nice .You might consider changing the first two words to..Its way... or Its now way.... I enjoyed reading this one. BG

I am not a boxing fan at all, but I know this name well. Poor boxers really suffer later in life, more than in any other sport. I still don't get it, the sport that is. Must be a guy thing. Thoughtful tribute Wilfredo. Love, Shar

Wilfredo - A fellow boxing fan - I reckon the hardest thing is knowing when enough is enough - It's actually rather sad for Oscar has been quite the boxer - God Bless, MJ
