Origin of the Species
We are recycled atoms,
The scientists claim!
From the Big Bang,
Imprisoned on this planet
By gravity.
These atoms join molecularly
To give life tangibility
By separating the species
Through their appearance.
That was then,
And this is now,
And how the species evolved.
“I think?”
Darwin wrote
In his journals
While in the Galapagos,
And yet, irony persists.
The tree of life branches
With no answer
As to who
Planted the
Seed!
