Oriental Love Rhapsody

Quiet ... to ... Hush ... Quiet ... to ... Hush ... The Butterfly wings gently over the flowers As the Flute whispers in the wind ... Soft ... to ... Gentle ... Soft ... to ... Gentle ... The Goldfinch warbles its song across the lake And the Strings add their rhythmic hum ... Mild ... to ... Mellow ... Mild ... to ... Mellow ... The Crickets click their heels as evening falls While a solitary Drum holds court in melodic bass ... Rest ... to ... Calm ... Rest ... to ... Calm ... The Trees sway in cadence with the breeze So, Too, the tinkling of Bells chime in their harmony ... Caress ... to ... Love ... Caress ... to ... Love ... A Teardrop warms its cheeky path For the Symphony has touched a Heart ...

This is presented so beautifully Dan. I love it! I would have missed reading it had I not seen the tribute Olive paid you from inspiring her poem. Congratulations on your win. I am faving this! Blessings, Connie #7

Thanks for the poem. It is the one that I have been looking to find. I do not remember that you were an "Outcast", but I do remember that I wished I could write as well as you did and still do! Thanks, again, for finding the poem and I will have to work on doing Soupmail. Also, have you heard from Carolyn Devonshire? I used to have regular contact with her, but all that fell apart after my accident when they took down my contact info. How is she doing? Tell her I said, "Hello".

Thanks, Linda. I really appreciate your reading and comments on my work. I was on PSoup about 8 years ago, but had an accident and could not get to a computer...so I lost most of the things I had written at that time. I am not computer savvy, so if you know anyway I can find them, it would be real treat. I am looking for one I did called "On the Outside Looking In" which was for a contest about the Garden of Eden. If I can figure out how to get to your blog, I will certainly do so. Thanks, again.

I was trying to combine the poetry with the melodic sounds of the various instruments and other sounds I mentioned. I glad you liked it, CayCay.

Dan, I'm so honoured to choose this poem among your lists, really like the soothing effect of the repeating lines... You placed me in the moment relinquishing the beauty as well as the magic of it... a7 for me.. you touched all my senses with this stunning poem!~Olive Eloisa =`)
