Only organic fruits will do... Rely on nature through and through. Going to an orchard nearby And pick our apples 'neath dark sky... No one around on us to spy. Into the night we're off to pick... Cannot be seen, that is our trick. Forgetting that, of course, these days Real orchards have guarded ways. Unless we want to be attacked... Inside, those watchdogs will react! The best- come by on the next day... So sad...for apples, we must pay.

There are so many that are ripe and just fall off the tree...such a waste. I remember eating grapes off the vine when real young. They never had anyone watching. We never left a mess, never got caught! I enjoyed your poem!; )

This reminds me of when I was a kid and we used to pick apples off of my grandmother's neighbor's tree. Big green ones, not those little crab apples, those Granny Smith apples. Fun stuff Mrs Sandra. I enjoyed this write. Thanks for the pleasant memories. Great acrostic!

Yes, most people from our generation that lived close to the country had apple-picking experiences. Thank you for your nice comment! Sandra
