Orange Rot

Fraud lord marching with an orange smoothie mind
Every step he takes leaves shattered order behind

Power in his grip and he bends it to his will
Nothing in his path has the strength to make him still

Shadows twist around him when he moves through the night
Any truth that rises gets erased from sight

He keeps on advancing with a cold relentless stride
Walking through the wreckage like the world already died

Nice write, Christopher. I wonder what future generations will make of the time we are currently living. I wonder if they'll say, "how could they let that happen?" Cheers, Paul.

Thank you for the visit, Paul. I wonder the same things. They say it takes about 30-40 years before we begin to see total clarity in the legacy left by those who lead us. I wonder how it will be perceived.

Whoa! The imagery is so potent, Christopher. Maybe a bit magnified, but containing the essential, unfortunate truth. ~ gw
