Opposition

Laced like a drug
pulling you further
into its horrid addiction
Spiraling you deeper
into its silken thread
trapping you like its prey
a sweet bitter seduction
carving its mark
upon your heart
a ruthless beast
grasping you within its claws
devouring you like ambrosia
till nothing is left

beautiful wings
relentlessly beating
bringing you higher
much like flying
pulling you in
to its peaceful heaven
feeding you sweetness
and making you stronger
laying its bond
upon your heart
a brave, strong creature
protecting you behind its walls
sipping you like nectar
till everything is there

one creature
one beast
a creator
a destroyer
it's beautiful
it's disgusting
a giver
a thief
the lover
the hater
one emotion
tell me what it is?
tell me what it be?
what makes, and destroys me?
this one thing
called love

This is an awesomely seductive poem, the questions brilliantly timed draws one in to a surprising ending ... a refreshing perspective of love ... love and peace
