Opposites Attract

When we were single, what was it they said? That 'opposites attract', something like that. But being young in love - we charged ahead and learned just what they meant right off the bat. You liked your bacon crisp; I liked mine soft. I drove like Dale Earnhardt; you'd take it slow. When I served burnt toast, you just gently coughed and ate that charcoal like a GI Joe. In politics we sometimes disagree, yet you still kindly hear my point of view. We may not always bond religiously, but no one I know shows more grace than you. To me, you are the definition of what people fondly speak of as True Love.

This one would be comparable for me to the one I wrote for my husband. A Threadbare love. It's so down to earth but HUMAN. Maybe the judges would like that!!

John, this is another one that for me is one of your best. I see ahead that there only remains a Biblical one, which would not work for the contest. So now I have seen all your sonnets. I faved one of them, so that one for sure you need to enter and the other three i just told you were good, I hope you will choose among those remaining sonnets! It was fun seeing all your sonnets. Are they the total sum of all your sonnets you have written?

Ah, she sounds amazing dear John. Anyone who can eat burnt toast like a GI , is worthy of being named true love. Congratulations on a win and awesome poem. Have a blessed day.

Pixie, she is amazing. Anyone who can put up with my flaws and quirks for 35 years of marriage deserves a medal! Love your comment, thank you ~ John

John, a perfect love are the ones that are just the opposites. I had one of those relationships. He loved his camping and hunting and I rather go out to a move or stay home. He loved his sports, I'd rather see a sci-fi movie. But we were just like a coin flip one side it's a face of the president flip to the other side I'm the bird that wants to fly. Congratulations on your win. Hugs Eve

Hey I missed this one. Good job with the theme. Very down to earth. I am trying to picture if it's TRUE about u and your wife. I was thinking you'd be much the same religiously. & I gotta tell you, bacon has to be crisp. Ha.
