Opposites

They say that opposites are necessary they, you know of whom I speak so many that they have become faceless to us, so similar in their beaten nature having given up the fight, given away all of their gauntlet gloves, for imagined peace with Creator and the State -- Why do I need to know clouds to appreciated the Sun? -- only for those who need them dissimilar cannot see, feel the glorious drip along with the enlivening bake must red be appreciated without a run of blue? -- only for those who are not colorblind; Surface dwellers, dining on fruits while not savoring the deeper root nearer source -- And so, you say (you know you, so many that have become faceless) we must know hate to love...! God seems to have had a garden difference? Perhaps? -- a little snake in most our psychologies.

I agree Joe; in my case also, the writing is never about me...meaning me as the center of anything. It is all about us, humanity -- how we can share knowledge and experience to uplift the human spirit and soul. When I was a kid, my friends were always 5 or ten years older. Not that they were always brighter...but I found less need to suffer some things personally in order to learn. For me, like yourself, serving others is serving self. No one gets to that perfect heaven...before anyone else. We must get there together. If one of our bothers or sisters has fallen, then we have also fallen -- must lend a hand if at all possible. If not...we must find a new possibility. I do not believe Jesus is any way near returning...many thousands of years yet for that. Just my opinion.

A very deep and profound poem this is dear joe, I resonated with so many lines in this such as “ Why do I need to know clouds to appreciated the Sun?” thats deep and inspiring. “ we must know hate to love.” soulful! And the last line there is brilliant! You always write in a way that makes me think and feel the depth of what you convey, and you have a deep understanding of all subjects and thats what i see through your poems. Pleasure reading. Sending you light always

Thank you so much, IE, for the encouragement. Poetry is a life-long odyssey...sort of like, getting on a wood-craft, sailing off toward the horizon, praying one is dealing with round notes and not flats. The poetic heart floats and sinks with every lyrical journey.

I guess it's what, or by what length, does an opposite become such. Thank you for a deep look at reality. Have a lovely weekend in God's beautiful garden.

Like you say, enjoy it -- let those wiser (and far less happier) tell us the whys and hows. Thank you Hilda. Also have a great day, each one a miracle.

The light shines brighter in the darkest darkness, until in the end there is no light. Time for revival is now. What will soon come. We don’t know, but the book warns us and we must keep our oil well stocked.

The Holy Spirit is the oil of our being. Sound advise, Kim. "Let those with ears listen". Blessings my friend.

Opposites attract. True enough. Yet in a relationship there is also a give and take.At times relationship is just skin deep. Of that we must beware.
