Opening a Door
Time stood still for just a moment.
I really looked at you again.
thoughts of friendship set aside.
I wondered how I had missed it,
I wasn't ready to take that leap.
you make me smile,
you make me laugh.
You caught me by surprise,
you caught me unaware.
It all started in that moment,
when I looked with more than sight.
A journey we have traveled that led us to here and now.
The future has much to bring and only time will tell.
Take a step with me, walk beside me
let us see where it will lead.
