Opened Eyes
The shock of the moment is what gets me now
It seems like my words should just shrink away
being lost back to where I was
but I see your pain now
I want to take it away
change your world to a happy place
The moment's still hard to forget
the hurt that exists
that only I feel
My words are my own and stay with me now
but this is your time to grow
it's your move and I'll help you along
There's still months to come
before I see you again
There's a chance to be taken
and hope to come
our hearts are still far apart
but I long to relive the memories
and create new ones in the time to come
